Vision and Values

St Andrew’s Church Mission Statement

At St Andrew’s church we desire to proclaim God’s kingdom through our services to children and the youth, and members of the general public. At the heart of our mission is also our desire to share the love of Christ with the less fortunate and vulnerable members of our wider community.

How?

Proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through our regular Sunday Eucharist, and Midweek Holy Communion.

Prioritise all children and youth within our church family and our wider community

Provide social action towards the less fortunate through our dedicated Food Bank, Coffee Shop and information hub, and in collaboration with other related agencies in the Croydon area.

In July 2021 our PCC completed work on setting a new Mission Action Plan (MAP) for the parish. New priorities were set to reflect the character, mission, and context of St Andrew’s Church Croydon. This showcases our Church's tradition, our hospitality, and neighbourhood. We endeavour to set realistic time frames and strategies for our goals.

At every PCC meeting we look at each one of the areas we have identified as important, and we assess what progress we have made so far and review as required.

The areas identified are:

  • Worship - Sunday Eucharist and Midweek Holy Communion

  • Youth, Children's Church, and Messy Church

  • Pastoral Care

  • Teaching

  • Community Outreach
